Thanks
At times, I need to fix the phone line audio on the satellite tv on my
home computer. I have tried the built in audio system on my computer,
and also an amp, and it works fine. But when I plug my usb headset into
the sound card, it drops down to 0dB. If I plug my usb headset into the
usb port on the back of my sound card, it works perfectly. I am running
xp pro SP2 and have had this problem since xp pro SP1.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I am using a Creative Soundblaster X-fi sound card on my
computer. It has been working fine until recently.
I have tried changing the volume level and different
volume settings on the drivers for the sound card and
nothing seems to work. Also I tried downloading and
installing the drivers from the creative website, but
nothing has helped.
I have read your reply regarding MS8676. I have also tried
to resolve that issue. I tried replacing the 68281 drivers
with the 5.10 drivers. That did not work. In fact, the
only thing that I am now able to do is to turn the sound
back on. Before I installed the 5.10 drivers, I could
use the sound at full volume for about 5 minutes, then
it would turn off. Now that I have installed the 5.10
drivers, the sound turns on and off whenever I use the
pc.
I think this is a hardware issue because I can use
the sound card fine on my daughters notebook which
does not have an on board sound card.
I've run out of options. If I do not get the problems
fixed, I will try to reformat and start over.
I have a Problem with my Laptops sound on OS.
I have the Vista version but I had the problems even with
xp, so is something wrong with the sound system or a
driver problem?
1. I am a VMWare workstation user and I have installed
my VMWare "tools" on a Windows 7 x64 box. When I shut
down the VM, it shuts down like a real PC, but when I
restart the VM, the system hangs with the CMOS
Screen, and it takes 1 minute to shut down. If I put
in my boot cd, it is OK, but, 01e38acffe
The PCI PLL divides the PCI clock by eight. Amcc pci matchmaker s5935qf driver, The PCI PLL is active-low, which means the active level is "one". The active state does not change the timing of the PCI clock by more than a few percent. In the following example, the PCI PLL divides the PCI clock by four. In practice, it is likely that the PCI PLL divides the PCI clock by six. Although the PCI PLL generates a divided clock, the active output functions exactly as if it were a division of the PCI clock by eight.
The PCI PLL is enabled by one of the following bit positions in the PCICFG[2] configuration word: PCICFG[2]MSI_EN and PCICFG[2]TIMING[4:3]SET[4]. Both of these bits are active-low.
PCICFG[2]MSI_EN forces the PCI PLL to divide the PCI clock by four.
PCICFG[2]TIMING[4:3]SET[4] sets the relationship of the PCI clock to the PCI PLL. As mentioned earlier, in the PCI specification the PCI PLL is divided by six.
PCICFG[2]TIMING[4:3]SET[0] sets the PCI PLL output frequency to half the PCI clock frequency. For example, if the PCI clock is divided by two, then the PCI PLL is divided by four, and the output frequency is fixed at one-fourth of the PCI clock frequency.
PCICFG[2]TIMING[4:3]SET[1] sets the PCI PLL output frequency to one-fourth the PCI clock frequency. For example, if the PCI clock is divided by four, then the PCI PLL is divided by eight, and the PCI PLL output frequency is one-eighth of the PCI clock frequency.
PCICFG[2]TIMING[4:3]SET[2] sets the PCI PLL output frequency to one-eighth the PCI clock frequency. For example, if the PCI clock is divided by eight, then the PCI PLL is divided by sixteen, and the PCI PLL output frequency is one-sixteenth of the PCI clock frequency.
PCICFG[2]TIMING[4:3]SET[3] sets the PCI PLL output frequency to one-eighth the
